Saturday, June 10th we celebrated our 2nd annual
National Gingerbread Day at The Gingerbread Factory. We would
like to thank all those wonderful children who entered our
coloring contest and decorated their own gingerbread men.
There are just so many creative kids! We decided to put together
a scrapbook filled with pictures of everyone having fun.
This year, we had a sunny day so we spent the afternoon outside
icing our cookies and decorating with jelly beans, M&Ms,
red hots, and sprinkles. For the coloring contest, everyone
won a prize, but we did have 4 judges review all of the pictures
that were entered and selected a few special ones according
thtese categories – Most Colorful; Most Outside-the-lines
(for the wee ones); Most German-like (we are in a Bavarian
town); Most Creative; and Best Overall. We will post the
winners next week, we apologize…we had technical difficulties.
We also selected our Grand Drawing winner for a family of
4 to the Mariners game – name to be released soon.
We'd like to thank everyone for celebrating National Gingerbread
Day with us. We had a blast. We look forward to next year,
and hope to see you all there.
